Prof. Dr. Michiel S. de Vries
Michiel S. de Vries studied Sociology at the University of Groningen. He worked previously at the University of Amsterdam, Thorbecke Academy in Leeuwarden, the Free University Amsterdam and the University of Aruba. He has a PhD in Law (Utrecht University).
Michiel S. de Vries holds the chair in Public Administration at the Radboud University of Nijmegen and is visiting professor at the Masaryk University in Brno (Czech Republic). He is president of IASIA (International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration), full member of the Group of Independent Experts on the European Charter of Local Self-Government of the Council of Europe and member of the editorial board of numerous journals on Public Administration.
He is interested in many aspects of Public Administration, among others, Intergovernmental Relations, Public Sector Reforms, the Evaluation of Public Policies and Norms and Values in Public Administration.

Doc. Mgr. Katarína Staroňová, PhD.
Katarína Staroňová studied at the Faculty of Philosophy, Comenius University, Bratislava, Slovakia, at Wagner School of Public Service, New York University, USA and Central European University Budapest, Hungary. In 2009, she received title of docent in the field of the political theory at Comenius University Bratislava, Slovakia. .
She is an assistant professor at the Institute of Public Policy, Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences at Comenius University Bratislava, Slovakia. Previously she has also worked as a junior scholar at the Woodrow Wilson Research Institute in USA. At the present she is working also as a consultant in the fields of public administration reform and policy processes (including regulatory impact assessment) at the Slovak Governance Institute and she is also engaged in consultancy work for the World Bank, OECD, United Nations Development Programme and the national governments in Kosovo, Moldava, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Ukraine.
